Overall Rank = 302/740
Age Group = 25 - 29
Age Group Rank = 26/53
Pre-race routine:

Wasn't thinking and ate only Kashi Granola bars. BAD IDEA. Ended up getting bad stomach cramps on the run from too much protein.
Event warmup:

Stretching and attended free yoga class offered by the tri event staff.
Swim
  • 16m 47s
  • 880 yards
  • 01m 55s / 100 yards
Comments:

Was so worried about staying away from the crowd that I swam too far away from the bouys on straight-aways, ended up adding too much extra distance to the swim. Took a couple hundred yards to get myself calmed down, focus on controlled breathing and using my arms, not wearing out my legs.
What would you do differently?:

Stay closer to the bouys, focus on good swimming form and breathing from the start, force myself to take a "slow" stroke to calm myself.
Transition 1
  • 04m 22s
Comments:

Smooth transition, no problems.
What would you do differently?:

Could have moved a little faster, but I didn't want to rush it since it was my first triathlon.
Bike
  • 37m 3s
  • 12 miles
  • 19.43 mile/hr
Comments:

Felt really good on the bike. Took it "slow" the first mile with a high cadence to let my legs warm up. Road was rough and I lost my computer from the vibrations during the first quarter of the loop, so I had no indicator as to how fast I was moving. It was liberating but frustrating at the same time. Course was crowded, but other than that the ride was good. A lot of hills but that made it fun.
What would you do differently?:

Try to enjoy it more!
Transition 2
  • 02m 24s
Comments:

Another smooth transition.
What would you do differently?:

Walk a little longer after racking my bike. I didn't give myself enough time to slow my breathing when I started my run in the transition area and ended up with side stitches.
Run
  • 33m 21s
  • 3.1 miles
  • 10m 46s  min/mile
Comments:

Very poor run. The mostly protein breakfast and too quick a transition to the run ended up in an evil combination of upset stomach and side stitches. My pace was 1-2 minute miles slower than I had hoped for. I had to walk a lot of the course because of the various belly aches and pains.
What would you do differently?:

Everything. My change in diet race morning (why didn't I realize I was doing a different diet?) and not walking enough/controlling my breathing during T2 were the biggest contributors.
Post race
Warm down:

A lot of walking, stretching and drinking water.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Poor breakfast.

Event comments:

Looking forward to doing it next year!
