Just an easy walk from the car to the start line. No pre-race jog or anything.

Comments:

Well I was really pleased with the consistancy of my first 5 miles. Unfortunately I could not hold it for the last 1.2 miles. I was really winded the last stretch and did the best I could to just try and finish strong.
What would you do differently?:

I need to learn to go easier at the start to have enough to go faster or be stronger at the end. I always go hard at the start because I feel good then seem to not have enough to finish as strong as I would like.
Post race
Warm down:

Easy walk to catch my breath and look for the water.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not really enough running leading into the race. I got some cold a couple of weeks before the race so I was down for a while. Also my training schedule has not had a lot of running. I guess I should be pleased with my time since it was better then my last few 10k's but I was hoping to beat last year's time of 58 minutes.

Event comments:

Pleased with my consistancy of mile times, except for the last one. I finished feeling disappointed that I could not hold my pace for the last mile but I guess I should be happy that I hit that wall later rather then the usual 4 mile point. I was hoping to beat last year's time but oh well, maybe next year.
