Swim
Comments: First Swim : 12:06 was a no wetsuit swim, which disapointed me but it was ok in the end, quite enjoyed the swim, drafted all the way out to the first turn, then moved forward a bit as that guy was a bit slow, drafted a bit more, then moved forward again, turned for home and had bags of energy left so put my foot down a bit in to shore, hit the sand, got up and felt better than i ever had at the end of a swim, not really out of breath, hadn't been swam over and done in about 11min...couldn't beleive it. Second swim : 8:17 Again swam fairly well, cought a coule of people and was passed by a couple of people...a heap passed me on the run to the swim start, stuffing around with goggles and ear plugs slowed me down, that took up most of the 8min. What would you do differently?: Starting to enjoy the swims now...they are becoming a stronger leg than my run (not hard) just got to keep up the training, the conditions might not always be so nice. Comments: Still dilly dally a bit here. What would you do differently?: work out better way to store gells, trying to find my pockets is a bit hard. Bike
Comments: First ride : 33:34 Uneventful ride, pushed fairly hard but didn't bust a gut. Haven't really been training yet and this was only my second ride in about 3 weeks so didn't want to hurt myself. Second ride : 18:23 Felt really good on this ride, kept a good high turnover and felt like i had plenty of power. What would you do differently?: Start Training Transition 2

Comments: Run 1 : 24:13 Slow old run, struggled to get a rythem going, lots of people passing me, just didn't have the mental strength...body felt ok. Run 2 : 14:33 Second run i got frustrated with myself for not trying, got to the turn around around point and got passed (again) and thought to my self that is the last person thats going to pass me today...kept right on that guys heals till the end, pushed as hard as i have done for a long time, proved to myself that i could do it, just have to be stronger mentally! What would you do differently?: Start getting my head right, my legs are willing to put up with the pain but my mind is not! Post race
Warm down: none What limited your ability to perform faster: Swimming although getting better is still week, bike is ok, and with some training will improve, and my run sucks at the moment, lots of work to do there.
