Bike
Comments: Holy hills. This was probably one of the toughest things I've ever done. The hills were relentless at times. I had to walk one section of the second to last hill for about 5 minutes as I had nothing in my legs. I was able to hop back on and finish the last hill up to the state park. I thought the ride was organized with great SAG stops. I've never sweated so much on a bike ride before. My eyes were stinging a lot of the time which made the downhills fun when you could barely see. I lucked out and was able to finish and head out of town before the storm came in. My buddy and I heard the warning to take cover on the radio as we were driving back to Chicago. I hope that everybody made it ok. What would you do differently?: Ride more hills. Post race
Warm down: Stretched some after finishing, packed up the bikes and hit the picnic for some food. What limited your ability to perform faster: Huge hills. Event comments: Overall, I thought it was an excellent ride. I would for sure sign up again for it next year. The only reason it isn't a 5 in my book is that I need to drive up the night before and stay in a hotel. Last updated: 2008-01-18 12:00 AM

Spent the night in a hotel outside of Madison. Got up had a bagel and some gatorade and headed to the park.
Didn't do a warmup. Got the bikes ready, headed down the hill from parking and started.
