Event warmup:

Tony, Carolina, Tom, Anna and Felipe came up from Miami for the race. Melissa was there too. It was great to see them all and they provided great support in the run. Great bunch of competitors. Congratulations to Tony and Carolina for a great finish!!!!

What would you do differently?:

Overheated in the first 6 miles so was stopping in every water station to pour cold water on my head and pick up sponges. Got that under control but then left knee started hurting to the point that I ended up walking/hobling the last 5 miles.

This was an inaugural race. Great for first timers since there were only 80 participants. It was a bit disorganized at the beginning but then things shaped up on time.
