Good ride, dehydrated from working kids race the day before. Still flat from illness and missed workouts. Cramping started in calf muscles on last hill.

Calf musclews cramping the whole way, just ran through it as much as possible. stopped once to stretch and that helped

Dehydration from day before and missed workouts from illness

Event comments:

I think the rain kept some volunteers away but the rain meant we needed them more than in sunny, dry conditions. Setup runs a great race and the town of Valdese is an Tri friendly town.
