Pre-race routine:

Drank accelerade, ate a banana,2 clemintines
stretched for about 20 min.
Event warmup:

Got in the pool swam a couple of laps before the start to losen up. Stretched for about 15min

Comments:

The swim is by far my best sport. Too many people in front of me seeded themselves faster then they were and I ended up passing alot. Some people got in my way at the wall, it was annoying.
What would you do differently?:

Seed myself in the 5min group as far in front as possible so I dont have to deal with the clusters at the end of the lanes.

The bike showed that I havent been riding as much as everyone else and this is my weakest sport, and my bike sucks. I just tried to peddle through it. It was flat surface so that was good. I was passed by everyone with a good bike.
What would you do differently?:

Well I have to get back on the horse this week and add biking into my training. I need to get used to riding alot.

Why is it every Tri I enter always has to start the run up hill? Damn it that hurts. I think I did very well as this is a sport I have been improving and concentrating on in my training.
What would you do differently?:

Probably pick up the pace on the second mile. I kind of kept it at the same pace all the way through. I think I could have gone faster, and felt like I could have gone much longer when i finished.

Warm down:

Ate oranges, water mellon, drank water. hung out with the parents.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not enough training on the bike. I didnt seed myself high enough in the swim and had to deal with the clusters at the walls, that slowed me down; I could have gone faster. I need to turn on the wheels on the second half of the run as I kept an even pace all the way through.

Event comments:

I loved this race and since it was my first time doing this particular race, I was really trying to do my best. At times it was like being blind cause i had no idea where we were going.

Now i have times to beat, improvements to make and I will be gunning for them in August.
