Checked my bag about 10 times to make sure I had everything. Ate a banana and drank a little Amino Vital. Loaed bikes up

Just never stayed on a straight line. Felt good stroke. Goggle strap came loose at one point and I had to restring it.

Just got to my bike, caught my breath. Figured out what the heck I am into. No turning back now.Moved my second shoe when I grabbed my first and couldn't find it for a few seconds.
What would you do differently?:

Get in and out quicker. Now isn't the time for resting.

Bike was ok. Hands got uncomfortable, just getting use to a borrowed bike that I had only ridden for about 15 minutes before raceday.

Very hot, legs wanted to give out for the 1st mile, then for the rest of the race, I was just very hot and fatigued.
What would you do differently?:

Train longer and get more bike, run training days in. Long bike ride, decent run.

Heat, first race jitters, probably needed more training.

Event comments:

No way of rating compared to anything else, but it was easy for me to figure out as a first timer and run well. Way to hot on the flight line though.
