Comments:

The run went well, there was a guy that for the first 3 miles stayed right with me. I think he was drafting off of me...since the first 3 miles is where the wind is the worst. I was larger than him (who am I not larger than). I didn't mind that he drafter off of me...at the turn around point, he took off, and I never caught him. Last years race was a two 5k loop. This year, was a there and back.

I got the start time wrong. I thought that the race started at 8...so was there really early. Race didnt start until 9...registration opened at 8...my mistake...even with that said, as with any new race (this is only the second year) the volunteers don't really know what they are doing. They have not hired an outside race company to run the timing and registration, maybe they should. After I got my bib number I went and started getting ready for the race. I then hear my name being paged. They accidentily gave me a bib number (along with 2 other people) for the 5k. no biggy. They also need to mark every intersection of trails or have someone at the unmarked intersection. I am not good with directions and almost ran down the wrong path a couple times. Over all tho, it was better run than last year.

Course: Run is in the baylands nature reserve along the shoreline. Over by the Shoreline amphatheatre. Its a nice course, but a little windy every year.
