Pre-race routine:

Got up at 5:30, had two pieces of toast and a tall glass of diluted Gatorade; Kip and I left home around 6:15.

Didn't push hard at all, felt very comfortable throughout. Ran into a big jellyfish about halfway thru. I knew it wasn't venomous, but it still threw me for a loop for a little bit.

What would you do differently?:

Swim harder - after going out too fast last time, wanted to make sure I didn't make the same mistake today, but probably took it too easy.

Felt light-headed after taking off wetsuit (low blood pressure?); had to steady self and wait for a few seconds - not sure how long. Felt fine afterward.

Felt pretty good - there was a lot more dry sand than I remembered from before. Left hamstring was a little tight at the beginning, but loosened up after about a mile.
