Swim
  • 00m
  • 2112 yards
  • / 100 yards
Comments:

I don't have the exact time but it was thrtry something. The swim was a bit of a pain in the ass. Basically because I jumped into the water and they started the 10 second countdown so I didn't even had my goggles on. So with two seconds left I put them on and off we went, It took me a while to get into rythm but I think the wetsuit helped a lot.
What would you do differently?:

Warm up before.
Transition 1
  • 00m
Comments:

The transition was fast and this was the first time I would try to get on the bike with the shoes clipped on. And it worked!!
What would you do differently?:

Nada
Bike
  • 2h 50m
  • 56 miles
  • 19.76 mile/hr
Comments:

It took me a while to get settled in on the bike. At about mile two I got passed by Ironman Champion Heather Gollnick who was doig the swim and bike as a relay. Actually I think she passed me as I was attemping to pass some dude and so I got a penalty!

Anyways, the bike was pretty nice and I passed about 3 or 4 guys and got passed by about 3 other. I knew I would pass them on the run though. At about mile 40 the muscle above my knee began hurting so I had to adjust to it a bit.

What would you do differently?:

Train better to be stronger on the bike.
Transition 2
  • 00m
Comments:

good transition.
Run
  • 1h 31m
  • 13.1 miles
  • 06m 57s  min/mile
Comments:

This was my forte and as I began running, I knew I had done a good job in the bike because my legs were still fairly fresh, so I was quite happy. I just focused on my form. Offcorse, everytime I would see Anna or Tom, I made sure I look as fresh as possible hehehehe. I passed many many people until about mile 8 were I had a 3 mile slump where my pace dropped quite a bit and I got passed by a guy I had passed. However, once I got recovered I got back on passed and passed the guy and was close to passing some two other guys.

I was happy with my run although I know it could have been much faster.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing
Post race
