Swim
Comments: Got right up in front for the swim. Went out and ended up passing a bunch of people from previous waves. Transition 1
Comments: Pretty uneventful. Karen, Kristin and I placed ourselves right by the bike start, so it was a primo spot. :) What would you do differently?: run on the gravel faster Bike
Comments: I was really happy with my bike. I went out hard and kept it up for the whole bike. The hardest part was getting people to move over. Transition 2
Comments: Not bad T2. Run
Comments: pretty good run. Was able to finish really strong. Post race
Warm down: walked around to find Mike and Brad and wait for Kristin, Karen and Alicia to come in. They ran out of bottled water and only had fruit. I really needed some solid food. I had a perpetuem shake for breakfast, one gel before the race, heed on the bike and recoverite after the race. What limited your ability to perform faster: nothing. felt really good Event comments: It seemed a little less organized than the last couple years. there were no numbers on the bike racks (which ended up working out really well for us) and the swim finish was really far from transition. they ran out of bottled water and bread products. Still an awesome race. :) Last updated: 2008-05-09 12:00 AM

Woke at 4am. Kristin, Karen and I got up and dressed and started taking stuff out to the car. We think the boys went to bed at 2am, so they were not happy to get up and go with us to the race. What troopers they are. Thank you queen k for driving!!
New transition area. Set up and went to the port o johns. Went down to the swim start. The run from the swim finish to T1 is now about 1/4 mile run.
