Swim
Comments: I'm sure this time is wrong. By my watch it was 8:36. I know I can swim a 1:30/100 but certainly not 5 in a row. They miscalculated somewhere, and added that extra minute to my transition time. What would you do differently?: perhaps go out a little faster....the pace felt too comfortable for sprint distance. Transition 1
Comments: Good transition What would you do differently?: Nothing Bike
Comments: I went out hard and tried to keep my pace over 20mph. Occasionally I would space off, then look down and notice that my speed was down to 18mph....c***, then I'd work hard and start the process all over again. What would you do differently?: Train harder with speed worouts. These have been very few and far between. Transition 2
Comments: Fast for me. What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: Went I went out fast, I could hardly breathe, and my heart rate was approaching 190. I slowed my pace down, probably too slow. Only when I had a half mile left, did I crank it up. What would you do differently?: Again, work on my sprints during training. Post race
Warm down: Nice showers at the YMCA, then over to Godfathers Pizza where there was a free buffet. After waiting for 2 hours for results, we finally left. What limited your ability to perform faster: sprint training Event comments: Overall, a good race. I wish that the results could have come in a little bit faster though. Woke up, ate a bagel with peanut butter and drove to the race site. I waited for 2 hours before my number was called.
