Swim
Comments: I really felt good on the swim, becasue it was so refreshing to be cooled off. The only time that I slowed up was when a guy that couldn't swim straight would correct himself and come back in front of me I would slow up and breast stroke. What would you do differently?: Nothing Transition 1
Comments: I didn't really rush as much as I should have on my transitions, because I knew that I was really just racing to finish. Also I was taking in my nutrition because I had no way to carry it on the bike. What would you do differently?: After looking back at it I wish that I had pushed it more here because near the end I was really close to someone I wanted to beat, and if I would have rushed it here I would have probably been far ahead of them. Also, I did purchase a little box to carry nutrition on the bike. Bike
Comments: This is the best bike performance that I have ever had during a race. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Transition 2
Comments: Same thinsg as above. I was really rushing wished I had have pushed it a little more. What would you do differently?: Speed up transition. Run
Comments: Coming off of the bike I felt great but as time went on during the first loop I started to really feel drained. Then as I started the second loop it was just a torture fest because it was so humid and hot I just never felt like I had any thing left. I walked a lot more than I wanted to and I really wanted to quit a few times (which I would have passed out before quiting) I finally made it through. I ran the last bit with my old college roommate and he wanted to really race the last 1/4 mile but I just told him to go one I was just going to finish. What would you do differently?: I have no clue. Except pray that next time it is cooler and less humid. Post race
Warm down: Got the hell out of the heat and drank water. What limited your ability to perform faster: Heat and humidity. Event comments: The only thing that I found to be wrong was that it started late. Last updated: 2008-05-30 12:00 AM

I tried to eat some very crappy "hippy" bagels, and was only able to choke down one with some coffee. Then I walked over to the race site with my friend Jerred who I might add didn't want to get there too early.
We weren't able to warm up much considering that we got there 10 minutes before the transition closed. Some where we missed that the transition waould close that much earlier than the race started. While I was rushing to get my transition set up I realised that I had lost my helmet since I had gotten there. I finally found it by my friends transition. Needless to say that got my heart rate up. then I put on my wetsuit only to keep waiting for the race to start and it started about an hour late. So I was really hot. That is as good as any warmup I could think of.
