Swim
Comments: Very short swim -- happy with my time. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Transition 1
Comments: I really need to work on this. I think I can shave at least 30 and maybe 60 seconds off my T1. Toughest part is getting my wetsuit off. I also really wanted to ride and run with my garmin watch, and I'm happy I did, but I fiddled with it for 20 seconds. What would you do differently?: Have my Garmin on and open, waiting for me. Practice removing my wetsuit. Bike
Comments: Happy with 19.4, although I want to break 20 this season. First race on my Felt S32 and it felt great. There was one downhill around mile 2 that was super rough -- wasn't expecting it and nearly wiped out. Otherwise, liked the rollers on this course. What would you do differently?: Be careful on downhills that I am unfamiliar with. Do more on the bike so I can cut time off of T1. Transition 2
Comments: Felt like I went as fast as I could have, but time was still above 2 mins. Might be able to shave 15 seconds off, but not much more. Run
Comments: 1st half was tough, but 2nd half was faster. Thought I could break 8 min mile but just missed it. What would you do differently?: Increase my pace earlier (I picked it up at the start of mile 3) Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Transitions. Event comments: Happy with the swim and bike, and run was adequate. Need to shave time off the transitions. The is the strongest I've felt in my first race of the season, so I'm excited about a good summer of racing. Last updated: 2008-06-01 12:00 AM
