Transition 2
Comments: Tried to remove foot from right shoe coming into transition, got fot out, but never removed left foot from shoe, so as I hopped off bike, my left foot clipped out & my right foot was bare. I had to bend over & remove left shoe before continuing on, running with my left shoe in hand & right shoe still clipped onto bike - Duh! What would you do differently?: Practice removing shoes coming into transition - this is much harder then it looks. Run
Comments: Really poor run results - just could not keep on level pace. Had to stop several times to catch my breath. Shoes had new elastic ties that were too loose, about a mile in I realized I was sliding all over and was annoying the hell out me, so I had to stop & tighten everything up. What would you do differently?: Get shoes properly set up before race. Run more Bricks to get legs used to bike/run transition. Post race
Warm down: NO warmdown Event comments: Overall excellent race, but parking was an issue at the start. Last updated: 2008-06-02 12:00 AM

Arrive Lake Nockamixon via Rt. 313. As soon as we turned onto Rt. 563, Traffic line all the way down to entrance. Took 1/2 hour just to get into the park. Alot of people were getting out of cars & riding down to the lake. Those of us driving could'nt do that. I finally parkes & got down to transition with only 5 minutes to spare.
Next time take Rt. 412 entrance as there were no cars coming in from that direction.
Very little warmup as parking was a disaster.
