Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 4:30 and had my first cup of coffee. Got everything together and ready to leave because there was a 30 minute drive to the start. On the way I had an Odwalla bar and gatorade.

Event comments:

This is a point to point race which I've never done. I would recommend leaving a car at the finish line because if you don't have transportation back to the starting line then you have to wait forever until the awards ceremony is over. However, I truly enjoyed this event and would definitely recommend it to everyone.

Performance:
Course: Very hilly course and very challenging since I'm not a runner. My goal was not to walk which I didn't, except through the water stops. Great aid stations every mile to mile and a half. At mile 4 there were cold wet towels and those felt like heaven.
