Comments: I have learned that I need to go out very slow at first because I tend to make myself get out of breath with all the excitement of the race - I let my body tell me when to speed up. This was what I needed as far as practice for open water swimming and the madness at IMLP What would you do differently?: Need to get better at drafting and being comfortable doing it. Post race

Being my first ever swim race, I was a bit careful on the food. Ate Multigrain toast with peanut butter and honey and drank two bottles of water with nuun leading up to start time
Stretched and decided not to get in the pool to warm up
