Swim
Comments: I recorded the fastest swim easily. The next-fastest swimmer was barely under 6min. I felt solid, and saved my legs for the bike. This swim was A+ What would you do differently?: Well the lady who was timing me didn't get the hell out of the way in time so I had to climb over her, but other than that this was a perfect start to my race! Transition 1
Comments: T1 was solid, I even put on socks. I had a primo spot right next to the bike-mount area. Bike
Comments: Other than the wrong turn, I had a great bike. I kept my HR at/over 80% and really worked the hills well. What would you do differently?: Not get lost!!!!!! Transition 2
Comments: Another smooth Transition What would you do differently?: Nothing- I was quickly in-and-out Run
Comments: Solid 5k- I'm happy with my time. My feet were so cold coming off the bike that I could not feel the ball of my foot or my toes until mile 2. This really did a number on my form and ultimately slowed me way down. What would you do differently?: Not sure... not feeling my feet was tough to prepare for! Post race
Warm down: No warm-down or stretching... bad idea. Event comments: Obviously, an arrow or something would have been nice where I took the wrong turn. However, I take responsibility for my F-up, and no hard feelings toward the race directors. They did a great job. Too bad it was so chilly! In the mid-40's coming out of the pool! BRrrrrrrrr!
