Swim
Comments: good swim. stuck to plan of goign hard to the first turn bouy then levelign off to a steady pace after that. What would you do differently?: get a new wetsuit... shoulders felt tired due the the short torso length of the wetsuit. Transition 1
Comments: want to get Tri shoes to make it easier to leave clipped in instead of putting on in T1. What would you do differently?: nothing, pretty quick and effecient. Bike
Comments: Raced the bike as planned. Probably went too hard over teh first half becaesu legs were dead by the mile 40. What would you do differently?: go a little easier over the 1st half and finish stronger Transition 2
Comments: good fast T2. Only one to break 1 minute in my age group. What would you do differently?: nothing Run
Comments: legs were dead from the get-go due to the hard bike. walked a few times for 30-45 seconds each. fluid would not digest easilly. bouncing in tummy after first aid station. What would you do differently?: I think a little easier bike effort would lead to better legs on the run, but gained more time on the bike than I lost on the run. nothing, I was proud of myself for sucking up the pain and running through it. Post race
Warm down: coke and a smile What limited your ability to perform faster: too hard on first half of the bike. I can honestly say that is the hardest I have ever pushed myself on the run. Event comments: Good fun race that was well organized with plenty of support. Last updated: 2008-06-09 12:00 AM
