Comments: Gatorade mix was too strong. I had a hard time drinking it. Power bar went down OK. What would you do differently?: Carry salt tabs. Bring pre-mixed gatorade with me. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Cramped up immediately. Thought about dropping out. Walked first 3 miles, eaiting for salt tabs to take effect. Ran from station to station the rest of the way, walking through stations. Really tired (heat?). What would you do differently?: Start taking salt tabs on the bike to avoid cramping. Use "surprise yourself" mantra to keep running through the fatigue. Post race
Warm down: Felt nauseous during stretching. What limited your ability to perform faster: Heat combine with under-training on the run left me useless for the run portion.
