Run
Comments: Started out with a plan to run easy for the first four miles, with Jill and see how we felt from there. I felt really good. I did have some congestion still from the flu or whatever it was I had, but overall felt good. At around mile 6 Jill was starting to slow just slightly and at mile 8 I left her and just starting running at a comfortable pace. My hope was to run this around 2:05, and knew I was going to be able to do that. When I got to mile 10 I felt great and picked up the pace a little for the last 5K. On the last mile I passed several people and then the last 100 yards or so, me and some guy raced and full out sprinted to the finish. Mile 5 time 46:25 (9:17 pace) Mile 10 1:34:10 (9:25 pace) Last 5K 28:19 (9:09 pace) (Jill fininshed in 2:06) What would you do differently?: Not be sick leading up to the race. Post race
Warm down: Waited for Jill, then we sat down for a little bit and then got a burger and a beer. Event comments: Again well organized and plenty of water stops. Last updated: 2008-07-11 12:00 AM
