Swim
Comments: The start was poor for me. I could never get a good line or in a good group. Either I was running into people or getting run into. About half way into the swim I finally got in a good groove and finished fairly strong. What would you do differently?: Site better and try to find a good pace earlier. Transition 1
Comments: Not too bad. Put helmet on before my shirt, so I had to take it off to get shirt on. Took a little too long, but overall not too bad. What would you do differently?: Shirt on first, then helmet...duh Bike
Comments: My bike computer went out on mile one, so I had no way to check my speed or distance. I really thought I had a good bike going, and I was about a minute faster than last year. I thought I would have had a better average speed, because I really pushed, but my average was not good. I can't complain, though, because I don't think I could have gone much harder on the bike. Just need to get faster and train more. What would you do differently?: train more before the race Transition 2
Comments: Not much to change here, except just get in and out faster. Run
Comments: Pitiful. I walked way too much, and just never got into a rythm until the last mile or so. The run is still killing me and I have to get better. What would you do differently?: More bricks in training and get settled into a pace and not stop to walk. Post race
Event comments: Good race and challenging course. Volunteers were great and everything is done first class. Last updated: 2008-07-14 12:00 AM

Got up at 4AM and left with Brian at 4:45. Ate some oatmeal before leaving and drank a Gatorade.
Not much. Swam a little and stretched some.
