Pre-race routine:

Got up with the alarm and tossed on my running gear...favorite run mojo. Purple shorts with sports bra...today I even wore a white technical tee shirt. Had my run hat...purple and white with a white cheer ribbon which has it's own story for another day.
Event warmup:

Got out the door, started running.

Comments:

My virtual run for someone who has touched many folks here on BT. I love running and I really love running early in the morning so I chose to honor your life and love for this sport with a dawn run.

What would you do differently?:

Nothing. I went out and tried to go fast. I saw the threads said you wanted a sub 30 min 5K as a goal so I pushed my body to do the same for you. It was just over the 5K--but fast cause it needed to be.
Post race
Warm down:

Ran inside, checked the clock since I didn't get the HRM button right in the dark

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Nothing.

Event comments:

I wish it could have been under different circumstances. But running, celebrating the sport you love...that I love...in honor of the life that was led by an extraordinary lady...nothing better. I even made airplane arms on my turns like I read you did.
