Swim
Comments: Average swim. I have not been training much since my 70.3 race in May. I didn't see a drastic reduction in time, but I was winded once I finished. The run up the hill to T1 was the most unpleasant aspect of the race for me. What would you do differently?: Not much. Transition 1
Comments: Slow. Was winded after running up the hill. Bike
Comments: Fun. Good ride for the sprint distance. Some good hills, some that many (including myself) needed to get out of the saddle. Happy with time, any bike around 18-19mph is where I like to be. What would you do differently?: Be in the proper gear for an uphill start. Almost fell over. Transition 2
Comments: Not bad. Run
Comments: Good run for me. Not to sure it was the advertised distance. Was passed by many in the beginning, but held my own by the end. Have not done any brick training in while, took a while for the legs to get in full stride. What would you do differently?: Nothing Post race
Warm down: Had some food, hit the road! What limited your ability to perform faster: Could have been faster had I trained harder. Event comments: Good race. No sure I would make the drive again, but would recommend it. Last updated: 2008-07-18 12:00 AM

Drove 1:45 minutes from NYC. Great ride up 95 to Niantic. Got to the race site and picked up the race packet and hustled to get my transition set and wetsuit on. Ran to the beach and did a quick warm up swim for 5 minutes.
Waited for gun to go off. My main goal was to have fun and enjoy. This was my C race and probably last tri of the season.
