Comments: This is by far my worst event. I wasnt ready for the length of this swim. I need to keep training but having the distance be this far off really messed with my head. What would you do differently?: I just need to keep training. I need more endurance. ![]() Transition 1
Comments: I put my shoes on in the transition area. I am not sure why but for the first time I was really dizzy after my swim and I needed all 3 min to collect myself in this transition. I took a goo right out of the water. What would you do differently?: If I wasnt dizzy I would hurry my butt up! ![]() Bike
Comments: Again I am just angry about the course mess up. It tired me out for the run and I thought the condition of the road at times was really bad. Pot holes galore. the last half of my bike went faster than the first half. I think it took me a while to recover from the swim. What would you do differently?: I really like to know my route before I ride it but this race did not make the route available on the web site so I had no way of knowing it. ![]() Transition 2
Comments: I still went pretty slow on this and I had to pee so bad but I just said I am going to hold it. Somone told me that some people just pee in there pants to save time. Is this true or are they trying to see if they can get me to pee my pants? What would you do differently?: nothing ![]() Run
Comments: It was a good run but I walked part of it and thats why my time wasnt very good. I was worn out from going further on my swim and my bike than I anticipated. I did like crossing the finish line with my future wife and Mom waiting and clapping for me. It was pretty nice! What would you do differently?: Maybe try and run through some pain ![]() Post race
Warm down: Talked with Rachel and Lynn and had a doughnut and a few cups of gatoraid. I then when out to eat and ate enough food to feed a small village in tibet. What limited your ability to perform faster: training Event comments: There were a ton of mistakes made and I had to pay 70 dollars for this race. All they had were large t shirts and the numbers were from an old race. The bike numbers were hand written on paper and had to be zip tied on. Then all the course mistakes. I wrote the director and asked for a refund minus what goes to Childrens hospital and it will be interesting to see what happens. Last updated: 2008-07-28 12:00 AM

Woke up and drank water. Went to starbucks and got a iced late. I got to the park and registered and then set up my transition area. by the time I was done I was rushed out to the lake side as it was time to go. time went really fast for me. I should have given myself about 20 extra min's!
None but the night before I did the Torch light 5k
