Run
Comments: Good run, I think having to hit the first 2miles hard to get into my pace/time goal area really might have taken the edge off my kick at the end, but it also forced me to push hard through the whole race. Shocked that I was clicking off 9min/miles at every offical mile marker and time clock. I stopped looking at my watch and just focued on sub 2hrs which was the goal (even though my training had not been consistent enough to really suggest I would pull it off). What would you do differently?: Not parking in the lot across from the Westin... DON'T DO IT Post race
Warm down: Fighting my way through the racers area at the finish - can you say cluster f**k. What limited your ability to perform faster: Me Event comments: They need to make the post race runners are wider... just too narrow to allow people to move, resulting in a pile up right after the finish line. Get up, check temps on the computer, fire the coffee maker up, dress, grab coffee and race junk and head to the site... oh and a banana.
Ummm... NONE. I got to the event early enough to drop off Tommy's chip since he was not racing. I parked right near the start with 40mins to go before the gun. By the time I paid for parking and put the receipt on the dash I had to do a full on sprint just to get to the back of the pack of the marathon/half-marathon runners. I hit the mat about 3mins after the official start in a full run. So, I guess you could say the 1/2 mile run from parking to race start was a WARM-UP
