I was worried about running on the black asphalt in the heat. Pre-race it was foot-burning hot. It was fine though. That pool was a dream to jump into after that bike!

I hit a "Stay Left" sign and bent my bars. My shoulder still hurts. Somehow I stayed on the bike.
Also, I had some junk-numbage halfway through. This was the first time I've had this ever. Any advice is welcome.

I went without gloves for the ride. This is something I practiced with a short reverse brick. It's not terribly comfortable, but it works well. My hands ached a bit the next day.

What would you do differently?:

I want to practice the 5k more. This is obviously my weak spot.
