Got a little lost rounding the first buoy but I was able to get on track.
What would you do differently?:

Wear my shaded goggles so I can sight easier in the sun.

T1 was pretty smooth. We had to run up a hill of sand and then enter the area with our bikes so it took a little longer. I felt really nauseous when I got out of the water and for the first part of the bike.

I felt ill on the bike at first. The hills were tough because I haven't done enough training on hilly courses. I kept a good pace the last part of the race, but am disappointed with my hill performance.
What would you do differently?:

Need to ride more hill work outs!

Felt pretty good on the run. Was hoping to run a faster pace but the sand got the best of me I think. I didn't get passed on the run and I passed a lot of people so I was happy about that.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Training. I have been so busy with work and not sleeping enough. I also need to incorporate more hills into both my running and my biking.

Event comments:

Excellent race. Lots of volunteers to help so you don't get lost. The course is great, very challenging and interesting. This is a well organized race!
