  • Comments: Heros puts on a great event. There is talk of them reducing or eliminating races next year and I hope they don't. The RD is awesome, the venue is great, the volunteers were great. Had a great time.

  • Comments: The race was generally well-run (but I wish they would have had more and/or more convenient packet pickup times/locations -- the 5-7pm packet pickup time was a nightmare because that's when EVERYONE got there). The volunteers were GREAT. I was surprised to see so many motor-powered boats on the swim course -- I didn't see any near-misses with swimmers, but it still seemed a bit dangerous. I will be eternally grateful to the two racers who stopped to help me on the bike course!

  • Comments: The race director said this is the toughest tri in the SW region, i laughed inside my head, after the race, i agree. Very tough course. Great satisfaction, there were 57 DNF/DNS. Thats HUGE!!!!

  • Comments: My first Oly, but I thought this race was put together extremely well. Considering that Elephant Butte, NM, is in the middle of nowhere, the amount of volunteer support, food, drinks, etc. that the Race Director was able to provide was astounding.

  • Comments: Excellent race. Lots of volunteers to help so you don't get lost. The course is great, very challenging and interesting. This is a well organized race!
