Run
Comments: Ran my HR Zones the whole race (160 - 170). Walked when I below 170 until I was at or right below 160. Seemed to work really well for me since I was not really tied at the end of the race. I did push the last 1/4 mile, and pushed the heart rate over the 170 HR. What would you do differently?: Get my sorry butt back in training and get back to my sub-9 and sub8 miles. Post race
Warm down: Heay stretching and free beer and pizza from the race. YEAH! What limited your ability to perform faster: My sloth like butt not getting off the couch and training, combined with a 15 pound weight gain since I fell off my training plan. Event comments: My wife and I do this race every year. It is fun, lot's of great people, well organized, and has a GREAT after race with free beer and pizza. Last updated: 2008-09-01 12:00 AM

Hydration and drive down to the race. Did not want to eat this morning... Figured I would make up for it with Pizza and Beer post race since it was free!
My usual Stretches, and sign up. We got there right before the race, so their wasn't time to jog any to warm up the legs
