Run
Comments: Ran with Scott and Jim, good pace and comments of those we were passing were mostly funny. Once again the few hills really took a toll on me as well as a pair of shoes that were running their last race. Stayed with Scott and Jim up to about 7.5 and then my bladder told me to find relief or else my double knit poly pants were in for it Felt better after the rest stop , but then knew any time goal was out of the question, had fun at the beer stop and enjoyed running in to the finish What would you do differently?: Eat Before , less liquids Train the week of Post race
Warm down: Half a bagel and photo op with donks in costume, beers at the ale house, talked to Travis's Mom ( he comes from good stock) What limited your ability to perform faster: no food pre race poor training last 7-10 days Event comments: Glad I decided on the 15K and in costume, was a lot of fun Last updated: 2008-09-08 12:00 AM

Having plenty of time to prep for this race was great except the wheels feel off with about a week to go. My training volume and pace had me convinced of doing better than my final finish time, but being my first 15K (and first in costume) I'm ok with it.
No breakfast for the drive up to MKE, took down some fluids (too much to be exact)and popped a gel 5 minutes to start
chatted with the donks and had the first of two bathroom stops
