Not sure of the official distance yet but it was definitely longer than last years 400m. Heard rumor of btwn 700m & 800m. Pretty happy with my time if that's the case because that means I only added on 5.5min to my time from last year and it was double the distance. Kept getting smacked by the chop every time I took a breath to my right.

So happy with this!!! Took 13 minutes off of my time from last year!!!! Felt great! Back held up, not even sore when I got up off of the bike. Don't know if it was the cortisone or the adrenaline but who the heck cares!!

Ugh! Could not get my run going! It was so sticky and humid and I was being pretty cautious of my back. I definitely didn't push myself as hard (last years time was better by 2min) but I didn't want to screw up my back for the sake of 2 minutes. Not happy with it but I'll take it.
What would you do differently?:

hydrate more and run faster.
