A horror show, I am lucky I did not drown. Good thing they had flotation devices along the swim route.
What would you do differently?:

Actually train. Also I need to learn to swim more that 50 yards without stopping. Not jump in the water right after the fast guys, I got run over by wave after wave of faster swimmers. This made it difficult to swim.

I was dead from the swim, the bike segment nearly finished me off. This made the run very difficult.

This was my first race ever. I trained (road my kids bike) a few times around the neighborhood (maybe 10 miles total), swam about five times (between 200 to 400 yards each time) at a local pool, and ran 2 miles twice.

I am actually training and plan on doing better next time.
