Swim
Comments: Got kicked in the face within the first 20 sec. of start - had to stop and reset goggles a couple of times. Bummer. Felt good on the swim but calves started cramping on the last leg (not a good thing) Transition 1
Comments: Because of cramps in calves - took longer to get out of wetsuit. I took all my anti-cramp stuff for 3 days before race - still don't know why I'm getting cramps in the calves Bike
Comments: I felt pretty good on the bike and knew because of hot temperature that my run would suck so I gave all I could on the bike. I met my goal time right on the money Transition 2
Run
Comments: Sucky run but I knew it would be. Because of the cramps in the swim - didn't have them on the bike but did on the run. Had to take many walk breaks What would you do differently?: Not miss the turn for the second loop!!!!! I lost probably a minute because of this Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: HEAT Event comments: Race did not start on time. Also, why do the over 40 women have to go in the second to the last swim wave? That puts us out on the course (especially on the run) at the worst part of the day (heat). Not all 40 and over women are slow........... Last updated: 2008-10-15 12:00 AM
