Pre-race routine:

Up at 4am to leave by 4.30am, I don't get up this early for work!
Pick friends up on the way as their daughter is doing the enticer.

This was a hard swim, particularly on the legs going out because it was only knee deep. I didn't have a good swim and could have done a lot better.
What would you do differently?:

My mind was not there this morning, (probably too worried about sharks!)
Seriously though I just wasn't motivated, it has been 2 months since I raced last.

I couldn't get my damn suit undone! Very simple mechanism but too hard for me today! Getting it off, straight forward!

I also forgot to put my race number belt on, so had to go back and get it!
Stupid mistake.
What would you do differently?:

It's been awhile since I have used my suit, so practice makes perfect!

Time on computer: 34.07, not bad, good result considering, it was hard and hilly going out into the headwind, got passed a bit but hardly got passed coming back.
What would you do differently?:

I need to work on my strength and cadence, that is in my planned training so hopefully it will help more for Kelsmcott in 4 weeks time.

SMOKIN' !! I have never run this fast for 5km before!

Gotta love that result, I felt good and probably could have gone faster, but with nearly 6 minutes faster than last year, I'm happy!
What would you do differently?:

Keep up the training, it seems to be working!

Nothing, not real big on warm downs, or warm ups for that matter!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Wetsuit was an issue.

Beat my goal by 5 mins, purely because of my running, it suffered a lot last year, but not this year! Next year I will crack 1.10.00!
