Run
Comments: A PR by almost 7 minutes for this race. I knew I'd beat my previous time of 1:40, the question was by how much. I had posted on BT that I wanted to break 1:36. I thought that was challenging yet realistic. Once I hit the 9 mile marker, I was very confident that was going to happen and at that point my focus became how much can I beat that time by. What would you do differently?: Definately start up towards the front. It took 15 seconds for me to get to the start and that was included in my overall official time. Since I finished in the top 100, I feel starting in the front is justifiable. I would also try to run each mile about 2-3 seconds harder to start out since I felt I had some left in the tank at the end, but not too much. Post race
Warm down: Walked around with Swee. Tried to stay warm. Visited with Rob and Chad who came out to cheer us on as well as the other racers that we knew when they finished. What limited your ability to perform faster: Mentally being unsure how fast I could go throughout the run. Event comments: This was a great race Last updated: 2008-10-19 12:00 AM

Up at 5:30 AM. Long hot shower. Ate three bananas while talking with Marshall and Batt. Got to the race site with Sechser by 7 AM. Got my number.
Did a little running on the way to the Knapp Center, in the Knapp Center, and from the starting line to Olmsted and back again.
