Comments:

iPod went haywire right at start line (ugh). Stayed back so I could just turn off my "workout" and use the music instead. Went out easy but at a pace I thought would be "fast". I felt so good by halfway through.
Well, Mile-10 had been my achilles heel for the past 2 Halves I've done....Not This Time! Other than the bones in the arch of my feet getting sore I felt great. And I knew I was going to have a great time. Oh, and I was having so much fun too. I didn't have to stop to walk at all and my pace pretty much stayed consistent. I didn't know it until I finished, but this would turn out to be my best race from a technical/pace standpoint.
What would you do differently?:

Writing this race report at the end of the running/triathlon season gives me a certain prospective that I can add to this report. I definitely would have had some Gu with me or even another Cliff Blocks with me. But...I don't know if it would have really made any difference in the end time result.
Now the ugly: I would have trained properly for the Half. That is what I would have done differently. I will hopefully have the time and dedication to train properly for this distance in order to run and recover properly.
Post race
Warm down:

I made sure to keep moving and went for the nutrition at end of race.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Noting, I thought this was pretty fast.

Event comments:

For those reading this Race Report, I highly recommend this race. Aside from the fact that it is a legitimate race, it is also one of the few local Chicago Half Marathons that are this early in the running season. Get your kicks at this race!
