Pre-race routine:

Spent night at local hotel. Got up around 5:30 had breakfast at the hotel. Went over to park that the tri was taking place. Set up transition area after check in, and packet pick-up.
Event warmup:

After setting up the transition area, went down to the water. Was going to try and swim a little bit, but it was at that time that officials called everyone out of the water for the pre-race meeting.

Comments:

I stayed to the side on the swim start. About 3/4 of the way though the swim, I was able to reach the bottom and half walked/half swam the last of the swim.
What would you do differently?:

Well, I need to work more on my swim. I did breast stroke for most of the swim until I started walking toward the end of the leg.

Did a fast walk while keeping my heart rate in my training zone.
What would you do differently?:

Need to work on my running in order to get to the point where I can actually run for at least part of the run leg.

Warm down:

Just walking around while attempting to cool off then went to my transition area to pack up.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I need to do more training.

Event comments:

This being my first triathlon, I would have to rate this as a good race. I don't have any comparison.
