Run
Comments: it started off pretty mediocre, got the blues because i felt like the only one there by myself... then 3/4 of a mile in i saw a familiar face on the side of the road cheering so i turned the frown upside down and picked up the pace; dropped into the 9mm and felt good. kicked in a little bit in the last 1/2 mile - passed 2 boys and a couple of girls:) Transition 1
Comments: psyched that i did the run under 30 so i was dawdling a little but that's ok :) Bike
Comments: legs were a little tight from the run, and lack of outdoor riding, wanted to push the pace but had the fear of the 2nd run weighing me down... passed a lot of chicks on the hills :) (of course they mowed me right down on the run...) Passed Dick and Rick Hoyt - (they are such an inspiration) what killer legs on that guy!!! What would you do differently?: dig a little deeper on the flats and downhills Transition 2
Comments: basically a good T but I'm a walker thru the transition area so that's what keeps my times up... i should work on this! Run
Comments: holy shit! started out as bad as it possibly could have! i could not move my legs!!! felt like i was running in cement - holy cow... got into my happy 10mm pace and figured that was the best i could do... What would you do differently?: i don't know - i was trying my best. Run Run Run - Post race
Warm down: streched a little at the car - grabbed a water from the bucket and was back on the road home What limited your ability to perform faster: no bike training in the last couple of months... Having to submit this as the last to finish in my age group SUCKS!!! I never want to do that again!!!! Event comments: I like having the mile markers so you can gauge your distance but now that i thing about it - the first run went by really quickly so maybe NOT haveing them was a plus :) Last updated: 2008-10-27 12:00 AM

up and on the road at 6:45, bagel, egg, peanut butter, small coffee. Little water.. drove down past Gillette stadium (dreaded the drive home in peak 'tailgater' chaos)
parked, got number packet - set up bike at the transition area... looked around like a lost puppy, no friends today :(
jogged a little between the car and transition area... little bit of stretching ... continued sad puppy face.
