Swim
Comments: I was really happy with my swim, but I did have a hard time navigating on the way back due to the sun and my tinted goggles. What would you do differently?: I will not wear tinted goggles again. Transition 1
Comments: I was kind of surpirsed at this time, becasue I really felt like I was pretty effecient. One thing that definetly added to it was the long run to my bike. Either way I felt good about it. What would you do differently?: Run faster! Bike
Comments: I also felt good with the bike. Considering that I had come into this race with an IT band that was really bothering me I was keeping a good pace and climbing well. What would you do differently?: Try to get faster! Transition 2
Comments: I was really happy with this transition. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Run
Comments: During the first loop I was really surprised that I was my legs were feeling good. I was keeping a 9 minute pace until about mile 9-10, and then my IT band locked up my knee at an ice station. I was able to start running again but with a very limited range of motion, but I did finish running. It was just very painful! What would you do differently?: Work on my IT, and after talking to some people I think part of this nutritional. Post race
Warm down: Massage and limped back to the condo! What limited your ability to perform faster: IT band. Event comments: It was a great race for my first 1/2 ironman. The whole family loved it! Last updated: 2008-11-21 12:00 AM

Coffee and bagels then I walked over with Jerred to the transition.
None. I was just trying to stay warm enough to not shatter my teeth from chattering.
