Run
Comments: The race started out alright. Very crowded, but was able to weave around people and get to the pace I wanted to be at. I probably went out too hard. Around mile 3, my quads were hurting and my left shoulder started to feel pain from my accident the previous week. I stopped at the water stop and drank, and carried on. At mile 4, the shoulder wasn't getting better and actually felt like a knife being shoved into it, So I started to do a run/walk to the end. I tried to run slower, but it didn't seem like I had it in me to, only seemed to be one pace for me that day. It was sad to watch all the people run past me when I stopped, because once I started back up, I would gain back on them. As the final mile approached I tried to run it in, but had a hard time, so I pushed it. What would you do differently?: Not broken my hand the week before, go out a little slower. I am disappointed with me walking. Post race
Warm down: Walked to the covention center and looked for my friends, hung out nad re-hydrated, got some chocolate milk and water. What limited your ability to perform faster: My injuries, and mental toughness. Event comments: This race is fun because it is o large. It was really cool to find out that Ryan Hall ran the race and was going for the record and ran a 42 minute race, incredible, and didn't get the record. It was a hot day and would have been easier to run if it were 10 degrees cooler Last updated: 2008-11-24 12:00 AM

Stretched out, drank water and went to the bathroom, and mellowed out with the group and talked about the race strategy. Ate a bagel on the way over.
Stretching and walk down to the start.
