Run
Comments: ok after i passed where the gels were gonna be i ran into Zach around mile 22 and he said he had crashed too. all of a sudden i see a zip lock bag with Cliff Block Shots in it and it soon became lunch and was a life saver. at mile 23 they had gels and water and was just enough along with the shots to get my butt over the line. felt pretty good at the end but sure couldnt have felt worse than i did at mile 21-22 What would you do differently?: make sure i have all my stuff before i check my bag. i did go back and ask them if i could have my bag back but they said if i see it i can get it but they were all thrown in a pile and of course everyone used the same bag. Post race
Warm down: things were pretty sore my L foot was swelling pretty good and my R knee was hurting do to the canter of the road the last half of the race.so i went down to the beach and found my sister and waited for Rick to finish What limited your ability to perform faster: had to be food intake for sure i felt real good the first half but crappy the second. plus i cannot leave out the lack of training, surely need to get in more than i got. Event comments: it was a good and fun race i would do it again but would need to get more training and work on some hills for the dreaded long climb Last updated: 2009-01-03 12:00 AM

got in a half a bagel before we left the B&B and did most all my stretching cause i knew it was gonna be cold out there again today. we also went to the race early to see the girls off on the 1/2 that started a hour earlier than the marathon
stripped off cloths at last min. the bag drop was right at the start line. but i was so cold i forgot my gels in my bag. Rick and Zach both gave me one each to get me to mile 16 where they were gonna have some. but never seen any there so from that point on was searching the road side for any thing that was dropped.
