Pre-race routine:

Got up at 6:15, ate a Clif bar. Stretched a bit at home. Took the metro down to DC.
Event warmup:

Walked around, ran a bit to warm up, stretched, etc. Hit the port-a-potty twice. Saw a guy from church I knew.

Comments:

Felt good throughout - definitely pushed a bit at the beginning and though I might have trouble later, so I just made sure I backed off a teeny bit here and there. Otherwise, kept a steady pace, kept my leg turnover high. Kinda felt like I might hurl towards the end, but didn't :)
What would you do differently?:

Not much really, considering I'd never run that distance or course before. Had a good run, very pleased with where I am, esp. with the newly-attained right leg stability and strength. Running on two even legs is way better ;)
Post race
Warm down:

Got 2 cookies and some water. Talked to dude from church a bit. Hopped on the metro home.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Nothing, really - I think I did pretty well!

Event comments:

Fun early-season race. About 5,000 people and a teeny bit crowded in spots, but I didn't have much trouble passing people. Not as bad as Cherry Blossom or anything. The crowd thinned out fairly well.
