Woke up at 4:15,had cinamon toast egosa nd waited for my ride.

Set up transition area, put on wetsuit to stay warm, and waited for my swim to start

Great swim. Last year was my 1st OWS and I struggled (36 min). This year I was out for revenge on the course. Took 8 minutes off of my time from last year. Was very happy with the swim, considering the wind and chop and also pretty rough as far as elbows and feet:)

Was really looking to crush the bike (at least crush for me). inds were 25 mph with gusts, so needless to say, there wa no crushing going on. Even though I was faster this year over last year, there were stretches where I was looking to be around 24-25mph, but ended up at about 16mph. I knew the wind was bad, when I was passing people while only going 16mph.

Hilly course. Was a bit sapped from the bike and wind. Was hoping to be sub 8 min/mile. Overall the run was just ok.

Ate some food, talked to friends and waited for my brother to finish.

Good race. Cut almost 30 minutes off of my time from last year.
