Comments:

This was the first time I had run half marathon distance, and certainly the coldest weather I had run in. I purposefully held a relatively easy pace at the start as I wasn't experienced at the distance. This actually made the whole race pretty enjoyable and I felt strong the entire distance.
What would you do differently?:

I'm not a confident runner so tend to hold back to make sure I don't blow up. The reality is I'm sure I could have pushed harder and still finished strongly.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked the 1.5 miles home, sipping a cup of regularly freezing gatorade.

Amused to find I had icicles hanging of my hair when i got home!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Experience at this distance and running in general.

Event comments:

Main issue was the frozen water / gatorade at the drink stations.
