Comments: Good race in beautiful weather. Took the pace out a little hard for first 4 miles...pace would have been a great 10k for me at this point in the season. Focused on form and exertion on hills. Maintained pace fairly well until last 2 mile climb at mile 11-13. Nothing left at end of race. What would you do differently?: Minded my pace for the initial 4 miles. Felt great, but took it out too hard and paid for it when I hit the first hill at the 6 mile mark and therafter. Post race
Warm down: After post race nutrition and stretches, ran 2mi cool down nice and easy. No injury pain, just post race fatigue. What limited your ability to perform faster: Mental discipline and focus. Up at 530am for a quick breakfast of banana, english muffin, and 20oz water. Took 20oz water again 1 hour prior to race.
Arrived on site 1 hour prior - tough to find good parking. Picked up chip and caught up with running mates.
Dynamic warmups. 20 min jog with 3x30" pickup to 10k pace. Felt good and loose prior to race
