Comments:

Went out hard, ran right behind the leaders for a while then slowed down some and then picked back up at the end to get my fastest 2 mile split. Sometimes I forget a duathlon isn't a road race and you actually still have to bike and run again after the first run.
What would you do differently?:

Maybe pace a little better.

I pushed really hard on the bike and am satisfied with the outcome. First time that my bike has ranked higher than my runs. The time includes both transitions.

I forgot to click the lap button on my watch so I didn't know how fast or slow I was running at the one mile mark.Finished with all I had so I am extremely happy.

Event comments:

I didn't use my heart rate monitor or anything to pace me on the run. I just went at a strong pace and I think it worked out. I think I need to pace my first run a little better to see if it would help the bike and second run but it might not.
