Comments: Great other than I thought they would have gels at bike aid stations so I had to take all my calories in gatorade. I still maintain that Gatorade Endurance orange flavor and Triaminic cough syrup are the same product in different bottles. What would you do differently?: Bring more than 1 gel with me. Transition 2
Comments: Need new bike shoes badly, my feet were killing me after the ride! Run
Comments: Thank god for salt capsules, kept the cramps at bay for the whole run. I was hoping for a 2:10 but my legs were spent by the second lap. First lap was a 1:07. What would you do differently?: More long run days, I didn't really train for this distance. Post race
Warm down: Walk around and try to choke down a chipotle. That cream soda was the best thing I have ever tasted! Nothing like a little jolt of sugar. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not enough big days on the bike or run. Event comments: Great first 1/2 Iron. Need some big days next season and I will take a ton of time off this one!
