Swim
What would you do differently?: Not much really - I would like to have been able to swim through and around more people but I just don't think it was possible Transition 1
Comments: Used T1 as some of a recovery too. I made sure I put on socks and was very comfortable before hitting the bike course. I was racked on the complete other side fo the transition area and had to go back almost to the other side to "Bike out" so there was a lot of running. What would you do differently?: Not much really. Maybe a little harder run... Bike
Comments: Realized that my bike is not ready for the ironman. I was able to hang with a lot of guys with bikes that cost 10X more than mine. It's still apparent that $$$ = Speed. Need to upgrade the bike - especially the wheels. Transition 2
Comments: Bike rack fell over - poor setup job done by the crew. SO I had to put it back together which cost me at least 3 minutes. Thank god for the guy who came over and helped me get it back together. What would you do differently?: Nothing I guess - I couldn't leave the bike on the ground... Run
Comments: Sucked big time. 3 loops of almost all of which were on dirt. No shade and it was like 100 degrees. The sponges were reused and filthy. Not much cold drinnks. 2000+ people running a 4 mile loop at the same time is not fun. Walkers didn't stay to the right, Everyone just was kind of doing their own thing... It sucked. What would you do differently?: Don't know, probably worn trail shoes instead of Zoots... Not pleased with the run and the finish was somewhat anti-climatic. Post race
Warm down: Walk around and hydrate What limited your ability to perform faster: Cramping during the run, but I didn't stop Event comments: Run course sucked and Post Race was a long line for pizza and soda. Big deal. I didn't stick around too much longer after I finished. Last updated: 2009-02-08 12:00 AM

Got to transition area, got setup, hit the restroom, and got ready for the Swim. Unfourtunately I had to wait 58 minutes for my wave to start.
Good stretch and watched the other waves go out. Lot's of lifeguard recuses taking place...
